Meet Our Team

Leslie graduated in 1999 with a Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders from East Carolina University. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and the DC State License. Leslie has worked in public schools, DC public charter schools, and with private clients in home, school, and daycare settings. She is PROMPT trained, specializes in oral-motor/feeding therapy, and embraces a play-based approach. She has experience with children from birth through pre-teen with delays in speech and language development, dyspraxia, feeding disorders, autism spectrum disorder, phonemic awareness/reading problems, and stuttering disorders.

Bianca received her Bachelor's degree from Florida State University and her Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from University of South Florida in 2015. She holds certifications from ASHA, DC, and Virginia. Bianca has worked with children of all ages with a wide range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Her passion for feeding/swallowing disorders has led her to pursue numerous certifications including the S.O.S. Approach to Feeding and Beckman Oral Motor Assessment.

Emily graduated in 2015 with a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Boston University and completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Michigan. She holds ASHA certification and the DC State License. Emily's experience includes assessing and treating expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and stuttering. She worked at a charter elementary school in Philadelphia for four years and led social skills groups at Kennedy Krieger's Center for Autism.

Abby graduated with a Masters in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Valdosta State University. She holds ASHA certification, a DC State License, and a NC State License. Abby has worked with children of all ages with a variety of communication disorders including articulation, apraxia of speech, Autism Spectrum Disorder, stuttering, and receptive and expressive language delays. She has a special interest in early intervention and loves working with children and families in play-based sessions.

Katter earned her Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders at the University of Alabama and her Master of Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Mississippi. She holds ASHA certification and the DC State License. Katter completed graduate externships at Bramlett Elementary School and the University of Mississippi Speech and Hearing clinic. She has clinical experience working with children with articulation, language, and developmental disorders including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy.

Sydney received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Towson University in 2018. She holds ASHA certification and the DC State License. Sydney has worked with children of all ages with speech, language, and feeding disorders. Her passion lies with early intervention for mixed receptive-expressive language disorders and social skills intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder.

Jasmyne is originally from Durham, North Carolina. She received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Howard University through their accelerated Master’s program. She spent the last two years working as an SLP in a specialized autism program in Maryland. Jasmyne has experience supporting children with a variety of communication needs, including expressive and receptive language, AAC, early language development, social-pragmatic language, stuttering, articulation, and childhood apraxia of speech. She is especially passionate about early language development, AAC, and building functional communication skills. Jasmyne believes that children learn best when they are engaged, having fun, and given meaningful opportunities to communicate. She loves incorporating each child’s individual interests into therapy to create motivating and playful sessions. One of her favorite therapy games is Pop the Pig! In her free time, Jasmyne enjoys reading, doing puzzles, spending time with her dog, and traveling. She looks forward to getting to know each child and family and helping make communication fun!
